The American Immigrant Wall of Honor commemorates the immigrant experience. Introduced in 1990 with the opening of the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, the wall originally featured only Ellis Island passengers. Today, the nearly one million individual and family names etched on the monument's panels represent our nation's comprehensive immigration story - from those who landed on our shores long before Ellis Island opened its doors to recent arrivals beginning a new life in the U.S.!
Make this unique monument a part of your family legacy by adding immigrant ancestors and/or yourself to the Wall of Honor. Donation levels begin at $300 and support the Foundation’s mission. Orders are accepted Jan. 1 – Dec. 31, with new inscriptions unveiled the following summer.
